Well, it's been a long time coming but The Empress of Ventra, book one in the Sword of Rhiannon fantasy series, will be out December 2016!  I've taken these last couple of years to really focus on this story and bring in some professional advice and help when needed.

Hi my name is Melissa E. Beckwith.  I am a fantasy writer and my new novel The Empress of Ventra will be out sometime in 2013.  Copies have just gone out to my hardworking beta readers so hopefully it won’t be too long now before you can get your own personal copy of this original series starter.

Please subscribe to this blog to make sure you get updates.  I plan on using this blog to update fans on my various writing projects, posting some of my original poetry and perhaps some advanced peeks of future stories.  Also, something that interests me is fairy tales and folk lore so I’ll be making weekly blog posts on a featured fairy tale or a chosen story of folk lore and I might even throw in the origins of an interesting custom or local holiday.
